The Homestead employee holiday party that no one will soon forget!

Jake Lighten, Administrator and Usher Egert, VP of Operations realize just how hard the staff works. “It is because of the people in this room that makes the Homestead a success; you are the ones giving our residents the great care, and for that we thank you “said Jake Lighten to over one hundred employees and guest in attendance at the Lafayette House. The evening’s festivities included a wonderful dinner, lots of dancing and most of all anticipation to see what prizes would be given away.  Throughout the night the Homestead management gave away over $1,000 in cash and thousands of dollars worth of prizes to their dedicated staff members. At one point Jake joked “Have you ever seen a Jewish Santa, well you will tonight.”   Two Echo’s, a Roomba, and a large screen TV were just a few of the numerous gift prizes given away. The grand prize this year was a seven day cruise for two to the Bahamas.  The cruise was won after five staff members’ names were picked to come up front. They had to compete against each other by playing the Price is Right.  Jake Lighten found out the value of the cruise ship  itself the winner would be sailing on and out of the five employees Rachel Sollers hit it right on the money by saying  $200 M! With that she is already planning her trip.  Because the Homestead residents need staff 24/7, those who couldn’t attend were treated to a catered dinner that evening back at the facility.  So it was a Merry Christmas for all and for all a wonderful night!!!
